It’s definitely worrying, esp since all these US tech deals. I feel as though this was a cynical move to buy the UKs loyalty to the US and precisely why we should be aligning more with Europe. Agree with Clegg when he says you can’t do both. I really hope it’s a good move but I fear it won’t be

I wish you’d do a bit more out of London. You were kind enough to review a restaurant in my native Manchester recently and as you seem to do a great deal of travelling around the U.K. (with TKC etc) surely it wouldn’t be beyond the bounds of possibility. Outoftowners really value your opinion too!!

Decided to educate myself on the Middle East (in view of the current dire situation) starting with the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon. Fascinating stuff but oh! So complicated! I do think you need a good grasp of the history of the region before you can understand and comment
