What’s stopping you from quitting?
Good luck with your rehab. I had a partial knee replacement in ‘23. Wasn’t too bad…first 10 days or so were challenging, but as with the hip, outcome was very good. Hip and knee on the other leg will need repair eventually, but not yet.
Had a hip replaced in ‘21. Walked out of the hospital 6 hours after walking in. Was back on the golf course 7 weeks post surgery. I have zero regrets with the entire experience.
I hear ya, and don’t disagree with this, either. As long as the GOP continues to fall in line, and the extremely progressive D’S are willing to sit out elections to “prove a point”, things will remain the same, at best.
Agree with this assessment, however, when the next Dem Pres is elected, the Constitution will again become a sacred document for the GOP.
Because Bibi knows Trump is an easy mark. Show up, offer a bunch of flattering comments, and get Millions or Billions of dollars. Easy peazy lemon squeezy.
I had one of these stop by my feeder earlier this spring. Such a beautiful bird. I had never seen one before. Hoping I get another opportunity before they head south-

Saw them on tour supporting this album (without Robert Palmer); was a great show. Tony Thompson was a beast on the drums.

Agree with you 100%. I don’t see extremism from the left any different than the right. Both are extremely intolerant….far left may be less tolerant than those on the far right.

Not sure, but at some point over the season he can try and see what the “others” have to offer. Didn’t watch much Knicks this season, aside from the playoffs, but their roster has guys that played elsewhere previously: Shamett, Tucker, Payne, etc. It’s his MO. Saw it when he coached the Wolves.
Not sure if pounding guys into the court is a “style”. He does know X’s and O’s; I’m not sure why he keeps a short bench. Toward the end of the Pacers series, he expanded the bench, and players produced when given the opportunity. Will not be surprised when he gets another gig coaching.
100% correct. Thibs has a habit of playing 7-8 guys regularly; come the end of the season, players are exhausted, banged up, or both. Have to find a way to rest key players throughout the regular season. Good coach though.

Terrific! Spent some time in CA over the winter, and became fascinated with hummingbirds (built a nest on a cactus in the backyard of the home we stayed, laid 2 eggs, both hatched). Put up a feeder and planted flowers that attract them. Starting to arrive in MN. So excited!

Actually, I did look it up and acknowledge that Hurts wasn’t concussed running the tush push, so you are correct. That being said, is it worth the risk to the health of the franchise qb? I don’t feel a rugby scrum should be allowed, nor is grabbing a rb and pulling him for extra yards.
How long before Hurts is concussed again?
I’m old enough to remember the Pro Bowl rookie touch football game on the beach, as does every Patriot fan. I’d bet Robert Edwards would advise against this.
Then the defender should utilize the shoulder to make impact. The qb is viewed to be a runner on this play, and they aren’t protected from blows to the helmet, unlike a pass play.
How I would defend it would be to send 3 guys flying over the line like missiles right at the qb. Give 1 or 2 franchise qb’s concussions and teams will stop on their own.
I agree 100% here. I remember when it was illegal, and now, you have guys dragging a ball carrier for extra yards. That needs to be banned again.

Maybe because they finished 3rd in the north with them. May have to let 1 or 2 go in order to bring in cheaper FA’s and increase depth via the draft. All 3 are talented, but as a Vikings fan, you realize teams can’t re-sign everyone, and prioritize from there.
Definitely not watching. Ratings matter so much to him, that the best way to piss him off is to not watch, and not give him high numbers…

Theoretically, I agree with your statement. However, money has a huge influence on where a FA ends up…I’ve not seen what the Mavs brass has said, but I’m inclined to agree, based on what I see regarding Luka’s fitness.
Hanging with the pigeons on a Sunday morning, Super Bowl Sunday, nonetheless? Brave one. FWIW, I think Costco members (of which I’m one) look like pigeons migrating from one sample station to the next.

I always thought opposition to same sex marriage in order to “protect the institution of marriage” was a laughable cop out. If these folks were so consumed with protecting the sanctity of marriage, wouldn’t banning divorce make more sense?

Also been plenty of athletes wash out due to their aversion to fitness. Again, not dragging Luka, but I understand why the Mavs were hesitant/unwilling to pay Luka. Def not dismissing self-sabotage from the new ownership, either.
Jimmy has pretty much done this, or similar, with every team he’s played for. Perhaps he should have had a convo with Latrell Sprewell before going down this road. There is a limit to what a team will tolerate. He keeps this up, he could be looking at retirement, or wrapping his career in Europe.
Which is what the Mavs may have wanted. Could have gotten more in trade , but ultimately they decided not to pay Luka for whatever reason. Wolves fan here, and I kinda felt the same way about KAT. Never seemed to get in top shape. The greatest (MJ/LBJ/Kobe) were always fit and ready.
I don’t think the trade was made because the Mavs necessarily wanted AD. Think the Mavs made a business decision based on what they saw up close with Luka. They opted to not pay him what he will command. Time will tell who was right.
A guy who has missed the equivalent of a season and a half in a bit more than 6 seasons? While in his 20’s? That’s enough for me to be a bit leery. Mavs obv saw something of concern (or they are tanking to facilitate a move to Vegas).

I’ve seen comments suggesting the new owners may be tanking the team in order to move them to Vegas. Familiar enough with the Adelson fam to know this may be the reason.
Not sure why the Mavs made the trade. My comment was more geared to why they wanted to trade Luka; I believe the prospect of paying a guy $300M that’s been injured, is not in great shape, who will be 30…I understand why they made the move. May prove to be a bad decision, but the rationale is sound.
Looking toward the future, not the past. I think Luka is terrific, but if I am in the position where I am looking at $300M, I’m thinking hard about paying a guy who has missed 100+ games, and doesn’t care a ton about being in shape. Not sure if I’d want to pay that. Hope he goes to LA and is great-
Guy has missed more than 100 games in his career and should be in his physical prime. Age is only going make him more prone to injury; add in his apparent aversion to fitness, and I get it. This may be a motivator for Luka and he gets in shape, or the Mavs look like geniuses.
I would hope they move on from Darnold. I think they saw the best Darnold has to offer, and at the end of the day, it wasn’t enough to make a playoff run. Not to mention, the book on Sam is out: pressure him, and he is not effective, at all. It’s time for JJ, and I’d prefer a different vet…
I’m sure that’s part of it, but imo, the disinvestment in education that’s been occurring is the primary reason for where we are as a country. Carlin said it best…we are a nation full of people unable to think critically for themselves. Social media expedited a 50 yr plan into a 35 year plan.
This is all good, but I’m compelled to ask why would you take a reservoir off line during fire season? This doesn’t make any sense to me, unless it was an unscheduled, emergency maintenance project.

I’ve seen enough classless behavior from Eagles fans that I would never root for them. The team is terrific, and has a great chance to win, but their fans do not deserve to celebrate another championship. #Chiefs3peat
I saw someone suggest Jones signs with the Rams. That makes sense to me; McVay is a terrific coach, imo, and Stafford is nearing the end of the road.
Wasn’t saying he doesn’t deserve a chance. I don’t think the market for him will be as deep nor robust as it would have been had he been just “average”. He was dreadful, and the pressure flustered him. KOC didn’t prepare for the pressure either, and yes, the OL was bad. Wish him well, elsewhere.
I’m not so sure that any team will throw that money at Sam, after the last 2 games (prior to that, I agree, he was gonna get paid). That being said, we saw the best Darnold has to offer, imo, and when it mattered the most, the moment was too big for Sam. I’d rather they move forward with JJ, tbh.

While Darnold was dreadful, these past two weeks have taken some of the luster from KOC, imo. The offense had no answers for pressure; the lack of preparation and inability to adjust in-game are very concerning. Hope the staff self scouts and figures this out.
The 3 teams in 5 years Sam Darnold resurfaced. Was a fun year, totally unexpected. Look forward to McCarthy’s career starting next season.
2 words- Sam Darnold. O line has been lousy too. KOC deserves some criticism as well…totally unprepared for pressure. Bad couple of weeks. Very bad.
Darnold stinks, and surprisingly, KOC didn’t have the offense ready for pressure. Should have expected it, based on the Lions game last week.
Vikings had a chance to get them early and didn’t. Lions are way too good to miss the opportunities Vikings have. The moment was too big for Darnold, it appeared.
And essentially the same thing in Minnesota, and Chicago before that…
He was a pain in Minnesota.
Hard to understand a guy signing a Max contract, and a couple years later, demanding a trade to a contender. Guess I assumed that players with a Max deal should lead a team to contention. Jimmy has never lived up to the hype for long stretches; very good in spurts. Didn’t help the Wolves…
