Not all pollinators are bees... but many still steal the yellow and black striped look.
I don't use watercolor a ton but that always seemed harder than it looked for me, do you use any masking fluid?

That's the one I use and it's worked so far, I use it on powdery charcoal and it sets it in place. Or sketches on canvas to preserve it before adding more layers.
