As a survivor, I can't think of a more fitting metaphor than a rapist creating loud noises with planes as a survivor tries to tell her story. I mean... just wow. Nevertheless, she persisted.

As a Native person, let me tell you some somber words: America requires the mass sacrifice of children to exist. It’s baked into its DNA, started Black and Brown, and will never change as long as this land is “America.” Just remember that. The change we need is bigger than “America” itself.

Will you redraw voting lines to keep republican states in check? Stability means nothing if everything else around us falls. VA Democrats don’t want a “centrist”. We want a governor who will fight and swing the pendulum in the other direction.

My grandfather fell when he was 85 and had a TBI. When they scanned his brain, they told us he had dementia. Had we noticed? “That’s just the way he’s always been.” Apparently his dementia was close enough to his normal, random rambling that his wife & 6 kids couldn’t tell the difference. Same.

Something about Newsom doesn’t sit right with me (my intuition gives my icky feelings) — but I’m glad he is speaking up and pushing back! Wish more were willing to knock off, drag off fight.
I believe that early in our nations creation, they knew how to work hard and what sacrifice and rich meant. Just the 3+ month ship ride alone. Now? Most are used to a certain kind of expectation of comfort. Not fight if you want any chance at a decent life — let alone for the generations after us.
