Hi maths teachers. I don't suppose anybody would ever willing to share a lesson on telling the time on an analogue clock for year 7 (set 9 of 9), please. My laptop has broken, yesterday of all days, so I am in a bit of a pickle this week. Thank you in advance

#Mathstoday Year 9s were practicing simplifying expressions today and did a pre check at the end of the lesson on what else they could remember for expanding brackets and factorising. Need to get some good extension work as some remembered much more than I expected!

#Mathstoday My year 11s looked at Averages today as we compared the 2012 and 2024 women's 100m Olympic finals. Due to an injury the 2024 data is better to use medium than mean. (For the men the date is reversed with an injury in 2012)

@blatherwicksam.bsky.social I used your ‘put these graphs in groups’ starter with my A Level Padagogy work group yesterday. It was great! They were reasonably inventive with their groups to start with, but what they really liked was trying to guess what rule I’d used for my groups. #ALevelMaths
In #MathsToday, Year 10 enjoying having a go at this Quadratics Always/Sometimes/Never task (which I did as a card sort in pairs). It was really interesting to tease out the subtleties, look at different edge cases, and keep bringing things back to the graphs.
