anyway I really wish you wouldn't use shorturls because they're shit: they often obscure the destination (eg bit.ly and other third-party shorturls) which makes them a security risk. And in any case you don't need them to save on character count. Once the link preview appears you can delete the link

I'm quoted in this paper about the problems with #What3Words. arxiv.org/pdf/2308.160... W3W is a proprietary and for-profit system which shouldn't be used anywhere near government or emergency services. It is prone to catastrophic failure and their business model appears to be unsustainable.
