As it is an essential characteristic of Trump, it should come as no surprise that he lied and misled all his voters when he promised to end all the "forever wars." All it took was the embarrassment of a lamely attended parade, declining polling, and prodding from the criminally charged Netanyahu.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a Congress with any modern history whatsoever at effectively asserting its authority to limit war powers. But that's not a living memory.
