I am not an AI scholar. Iām an ancient historian. I have kept up to date with AI discourse because, as youāve said, there is general excitement and pressure to use it. You profess these tools are necessary, yet you are uncritically using them without being curious on what experts are saying.
If I had a person outside my discipline - academic or otherwise - come to me with basic and general questions I would suggest things for them to read before having that discussion. If they were an academic, yes, I would send them academic work to pre-read. I would also expect the same in return.

I genuinely think it is. I am really conscious of it, I have kiddos who (because of my history) have increased risk of developing EDs - the addition of social media has been an issue for a while, but it feels like in the last 6-12 months its just gotten much, much worse. Ultra-skinny is back.
