The worst ever just happened to me. My roommate's cat knocked a controller off of the tv stand. I looked at him and called him a menace. And then I realized. I realized that I said the exact same thing that my mom says to her pets. This is genuinely upsetting. lmao

I'm sure it's just the stress. We were supposed to go up to get his car from his apartment today and talk to his friends' parents. They're very understanding and I've made it clear that they are grieving too and don't need to rush to get all of her belongings. Thankfully a lot of people care.
Feels weird to not be at the hospital today, but we needed a break and wanted my brother's friends and coworkers to have a chance to visit. The stress finally caught up with me and I've been sick since yesterday.

So in the past week: My brother was in a fatal police chase, my roommates found a dead body, one of them has a sister in the hospital in critical condition, and I just watched my neighbor get arrested. Anyone got anything else? lol holy shit

Honestly life is still a billion times better right now. My mental health has improved a ton. Today was a bad day. But it was a bad day because something really bad happened. Not because I was so angry at myself that I couldn't be happy. And that is a huge difference.
My brother was on a breathing tube, but he was starting to wake up more and the last I heard they were thinking about removing it. He's been alert and responsive. We haven't told him about his friend yet. I hate this. This is the article about it. There's not many details.
I don't remember much of what's happened today. Saturday night my brother was out his roommate and her ex-bf. The ex was an ex because of DV and had a warrant for him and was the driver. A cop tried to stop them, he ran and ended up flipping the car. The roommate passed away from her injuries. :(
Got a call from KU Med. My brother is in icu on life support. He was with some friends and they were in a car accident.

Re-reading one of my favorite books. It's on my tablet now, but I swear I can smell the old paper from the real book.
I get that it's traumatic, but that's something she needs to work on instead of trying to make it everyone else's problem. It's not the younger generation's fault that it's easier to transition now. Don't try to take it away out of spite because you succeeded on hard mode and they didn't.

I hope today was a better day. Mine was a lot better. Managed to go inside a store to get groceries rather than do drive up. And then a second one to get stuff they didn't have at the first. Then I did some writing for the first time in years. And my brother called and we talked for 2 hours.

One of the most painful parts of the past month or so was realizing just how not okay I’ve been. I thought I was okay with the whole ADHD thing, but the more I dig into my past, the more I realize that it really was present in every aspect of my life and held me back so much.
When I visited England, I went to the Greenwich Observatory. They had a sign that said “no queueing on the prime meridian plaque.” It worked as well as you’d expect.
Today’s journaling was about intrusive thoughts. They are so much fun. Just hoping that recognizing them when they happen will let me get them under control. If I can do that, then maybe together with therapy and affirmations I can start accepting that I’m worthy of love and respect.

It reminds me of when ECW came to KC for the first time in 2000. It was at the Uptown Theatre, which is a concert/play venue. The ring was right up next to the stage. It was incredibly cool, but from what I remember the cameras faced the stage so you didn't get to see the crowd.
I stopped talking to everyone. Only one person has reached out to me since Feb, so I feel like what's the point.
