I used a 5-min segment on CBC News Network to push back directly against 3 separate myths we often hear. I emphasized that: 1) BRICS is nothing more than optics; it's members are not actual allies; 2) Ru maintains its maximalist demands; no progress was made in Alaska; 3) Ru isn't winning the war.
Here in the US, “two weeks” actually means never.

BREAKING: It's official. California will have a special election this November to approve new maps. The requisite bills have PASSED the assembly. Newsom will sign them momentarily. AND democrats removed the language that CA maps hinge on what Texas does.
The California Supreme Court late Wednesday denied a Republican petition to block the state’s new redistricting plan. The decision clears the way for Democrats in the legislature to approve the map, which would then be placed on the ballot in a November special election.

I lived in Switzerland for several decades and visit family and friends often. Most of them do not have cars — nor do they need them. The trains always run smoothly and on time, as do all other forms of transportation and people movers.
In Switzerland this week. Taking a couple of beautiful trains today...this is just the setup (and boy do the Swiss do railways well - perfectly silent loco hauled carriages even on regional services). 🇨🇭🏔
