I just signed the Election Rigging Response Act to put Proposition 50 up for a vote on November 4th. The people of California will have the power to push back against Texas and any other state that obeys Donald Trump's demand to rig the next election.

In this moment, it is clear why DC needs the full rights of statehood. In all other places in the U.S., sending in the National Guard from one state to another state without the consent of local leaders is considered an act of civil war. DC’s lack of power right now is a national vulnerability.

I'm feeling uneasy about the results of this poll because I think the question is too narrow-a follow up question was needed. I'm 100% behind the covid vaccine boosters but I wonder if I can fully trust them given Kennedy's meddling. For those reasons I might have answered no to the question.
The number is so low because ... propaganda works! I was shocked when years ago a nurse told me she was afraid of Moderna vaccinated people because they were "Shedding the Covid virus and would get her sick." There was so much wrong with that I could not even respond. I did not tell her I was one!

Update: I offered the amendment. Not to refuse acceptance of the Qatari jet; just to prohibit Trump from taking it with him when he leaves office - after the taxpayers spend $1 billion to retrofit it. Failed 14-15. Every single Republican voted to allow Trump to take the jet.
Ok I’m offering another amendment right now in the Appropriations Committee to stop Trump’s corruption. This one says the Department of Education can’t cancel funding for a college just because professors or students hold views Trump doesn’t like. Again, stay tuned.
Unsurprising bad jobs report. Just 73,000 added in July, and most of those were health care. Even worse, May and June jobs numbers revised down by 258,000. Awful. Companies don't want to create jobs in Trump's chaos economy with weakening rule of law and rampant corruption.
