This 'taking votes from Labour' line should be their undoing. Those are not 'Labour's votes' they are voters who have chosen to trust Labour to represent them. If they lose that trust, they lose those votes. If they want to keep them, they need to prove themselves trustworthy, not demand loyalty

Not in practice (for development management). Identification of sites of potential is so nuanced. As a former planning archaeologist I have had so many arguments based on the subtlest of evidence. I can't see an LLM helping that in ANY way (unless I take up consultancy...)

#OTD in 1985, the wreck of RMS Titanic was located. It was actually a cover story for a secret mission funded by the U.S. Navy to survey the wrecks of two US submarines. After the primary mission was completed, the team had some remaining time that they used to locate the ocean liner lost in 1912.

Perhaps more worrying (for the uninitiated) was the practice of turning one engine off whilst airborne, so one propeller would stop. SOP was to switch engines regularly so that the two engines would wear equally. Which would mean the other propeller would then be the stopped one.

I used to work on HMS Unicorn, which sparked an interest. In addition to all the books about iron fittings and diagonal trusses, there is also at least one biography. Pretty sure David K Brown also discussed stern construction, but I'd have to check (again, book is in the office)
