It's incredible. I work for a state-funded program. We take great pains to make sure we don't do anything that could even be remotely construed as violating state policies and procedures. And issuing an RFP for every single purchase/contract is part of that.

Here's my take, whatever it's worth. Kindness isn't always nice, and because this monster is causing so much harm to so many people, the kindest thing is for him to be gone. It's not the nice thing, but I would argue it's the kind thing because the reason we want him gone is to stop the suffering.
Everything is so fucking embarrassing all the time. If it weren't also so cruel it would be hilarious - as it stands, it's just disgusting.

I have mostly managed to avoid TX (other than their airports). I visited El Paso once several years ago to visit a friend - El Paso is its own thing (it was then) and we spent most of our time in New Mexico. I wouldn't set foot in TX (or several other states) right now unless absolutely necessary.

Just got back from Mexico. I wear a "Gulfo de Mexico" tshirt (I wore it there and I wear it all the time in the US) with a map and established date on it. It's subtle, but also obvious what my message is.
