Milk? Sugar?
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social)
Looks like @cazoo.bsky.social is only serving tea at breakfast club this morning. Anyone fancy a quick cuppa? Iβve just time before I dash out the door
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Morning Sue. Any plans for today? Iβll be in the office if anyone wondersβ¦
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Hey, we all do that
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Good morning π
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Good morning Ted and Poppy π Thank you for the liquid sunshine, garden really enjoying it π§οΈ
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Here four! But as itβs my office day Iβm not the one to walk Archie. Think Iβd rather rain than office tbh π¬
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
I donβt think I can explain. Itβs just a part of my past I donβt want to revisit.
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Time for a bigger sofa?
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Thank you. It was lovely to have an afternoon off. The little boy is Archieβs latest fan, they are very sweet together
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
I hope itβs nice and peaceful. Itβs my office day π±
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
It was⦠I think our first hotel night away this year and the lounge is so civilized

Thank you π

He was so excited to be allowed to play in the stream π
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
WFH tomorrow?
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
And when we got home the house was suspiciously tidy⦠the boy had had a dozen of the rugby lads round for drinks and pizza but thankfully they cleared up after themselves!
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
On Sunday my churchβs choir sang two services in Hereford Cathedral, always a wonderful place to sing. We were lucky enough to see the cloister gardens which are very pretty.
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social)
A busy few days. Saturday we went running as usual then we went to Hereford, visited real shops and had a lovely evening meal before a night in the Green Dragon Hotel.

Hello π
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Of course. I never did facebook until I had to for park run as itβs our main way of communicating with volunteers so I donβt think of it in that way. He wonβt be the only one finding today difficult, I remember a friend struggling to get her boy into school and how hard it was
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Not failing. They are there and hopefully itβll get easier. First day photos on Facebook?! Stop worrying about everyone elseβs expectations!
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
We have a union flag tea towel. And a welsh one (we are in border country after all)
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Hugs π«
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Archie went in the stream this morning but escaped with being towel dried, much to his relief
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Well done you! Hereβs to feeling cozy this autumn π

Do see if you can get one! A scented candle seems a small price to pay for feeling cozy
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
I hope itβs ok x
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
That stove is gorgeous!
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh no! Then you need a big snuggly blanket in cheerful colours!
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
I think September is a good month for this, better than January
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Well done. We have a wood fired Rayburn which powers our central heating but itβs a lot of work. Lovely for cooking though.
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Iβm a big fan of autumn! All those lovely colours and scrunchy leaves. Itβs not cold and dark and damp till winter
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
This sounds such a good plan x
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Havenβt been for a very long timeβ¦ no real desire to either
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
I do like gardening but Iβm not keen on lawn mowing and the boy usually does it for me. I have a replacement day off on Thursday but I wanted it done while it was dry!
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
We had ours done last autumn and it really does make such a difference. I donβt think we needed the winter duvet!
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
It rained really heavily but was then dry and windy the rest of the day so I could mow the lawn. And I had to work on my day off π

So are you at the point where you want to eat something different? Iβm on my own today and there are no tempting leftovers π
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
I donβt want to go into the office for an extra day so Iβve swapped my day off again. A little more notice wouldβve been helpful
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Hopefully theyβll be gone soon. I have had to rearrange my rearranged week to take my day off on Thursday when national grid are planning to turn the power off π€¦ββοΈ

Itβs just the labelling we have to put on post Brexit. Been on dairy for ages but gradually rolling out across other foods. The default is that everything says βnot for EUβ except the product that has all the export paperwork for NI / Eire. Bet youβre glad you asked now

I was just very lucky, walking the dog at a funny time of day. I recognised the sound and was so chuffed to see them π₯°
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Actually yellow is odd for me. Iβm not surprised youβre centered around green
Fiona (@fionadean.bsky.social) reply parent
Yellow? Thatβs odd I was very blue. Bit of red, bit of green. Almost no yellow π
