I know I’m grasping. The myth that Neanderthals were slower than homosapiens has been debunked. But I just can’t figure out why people revert to superstition and anti science, trying not to learn from history etc. I guess I was just hoping it was genetic and not learned behavior. What could it be?

As a Kent State alumni, people need to read the history of what took place during that time. Those killed were not rioters in the streets, just students walking across campus. History is repeating itself.
Kent state is what changed my dad on the Vietnam war. He was a WW2 veteran but after he saw our own guard shoot down students he changed and was against the war and wanted it ended. In 1970, sane people saw that armed military, aiming guns at citizens was going nowhere fast and not a solution.
