This administration is pure theatre. How many of those cabinet positions are filled by anyone qualified for the job? Many of them came directly from Fox News.

TBH this would have been a nice offer to anyone who buys a PS5 after the price increase. But since that didn't happen, I don't think Sony has anything to gain from giving away Dreams for free. The Dreams community has largely abandoned the game. If they hadn't, maybe Dreams would still have value.

It's simpler than that. One party tends to ignore all crimes committed by its members, particularly with respect to crimes of a sexual nature. Jim Jordan went from being a sex offender to being a member of Congress. That doesn't happen for anyone who isn't a MAGA grifter.

Unfortunately, because our political system is based on geographic representation of land more than demographic representation of people, the rural/urban divide has been a continuous source of political friction since before suburbs ever existed.

I don't support Gavin Newsom for President and that's because I don't support any of the announced 2028 Presidential candidates. Y'all fucking twitter addicts turned this entire country into a Twitter style shitshow, and then get mad when reality begins to reflect Twitter discourse. This is on you

Here's what it comes down to: Democratic party propagandists have been shaming progressives since Hillary Clinton's 2016 flip for not supporting the establishment. And now even though Gavin isn't running for President, people are saying we shouldn't enjoy his tweets because he would be a bad Pres.

We are still not to the point where professional studios are fully digital, because the amount of real-time audio processing happening in a professional sized mixer is so completely beyond what any professional/commercial computer technology is capable of managing. /3

With a 2Ghz processor, that only allows for 50,000 steps of addition and subtraction per sample cycle. Those 50,000 steps have to include input operations, signal processing, signal manipulation, more signal processing, and output. All while still running Windows/MacOS and not locking up visually.

Also: people only get reduced sentences if they provide information that leads to the conviction of other criminals. It would be absolute insanity to give a convicted criminal a reduced sentence if they testify that "no one else" was involved in the crimes they were convicted for.

The fact that they brought up high-SPEED cameras as a supposed counterpoint to why MOTION blur exists, absolutely wild and unhinged. If their own examples don't even support the point that they are trying to make, I don't think there's literally any example we could use that they would understand.

Both blur and motion are a function of position (relative to an observer) over the domain of time. They are literally single-variable phenomena that are both based on the exact same variable. Blur and motion are the exact same phenomenon from a Newtonian perspective.

I feel like photography is the perfect subject to let people connect their subjective experiences to a more concrete piece of evidence. Photos make this phenomenon abundantly clear, and also allow us to dissect/describe the blurring effect with great precision. It's physics, not biology.

The speed of the camera determines the blur of the object, because blur *is* intrinsic and can only be reduced as a function of time. What do you think causes blur in long exposure photos? Genuinely? Explain object blur to me (and don't reference focal distance).

That's a lot of words that have defined meanings without any source material. It really is tautological. Motion means blur. If you want to proce me wrong, take a non-blurry photo of an object moving 1,000 miles an hour as it passes within 100 meters of you.

It shouldn't be hard to understand, even for Gamers. Motion is relative. When you follow the "movement" of one object it appears stationary while everything else appears to move. Motion causes "blur". This has been a game setting in basically every AAA title for a decade. It's near tautological.

Get a photorealistic dick tattoo that's longer than your shorts.

If only we could air the Epstein files and stop seeing Bill Clinton wheeled out by the DNC every 2-4 years.

Congress doesn't vote on anything until they know what the result will be. They don't know what the result will be because they haven't had sufficient time to manufacture consent. While I appreciate your efforts in defending the separation of powers, within 30 days MAGA will be lockstep pro war.

Forgot to post this photo I took the other day.

A juvenile praying mantis in the foreground, and our dog in the background.

Is Warren Beatty still making shoestring budget productions just to keep the IP rights to Dick Tracy? I swear, he's like the only one who ever gave the Disney lawyers a solid L.

Fixation on edge cases is part of our human fallibility. It's easy to imagine scenarios that diverge from the ideal. It's less easy to accurately assess the likelihood and overall tangible impacts of specific scenarios.

X lost 80% of its value. I thought Mark Cuban was supposed to be good at business. Why is he telling a growing company to act like a failing one? Is Mark Cuban stupid? Or is he lying on behalf of X's fascist user base? Genuinely hard to tell the difference here.

It's called "the marketplace of ideas", Cuban. If a community has rejected your ideas, it's not the community who has a problem they need to reflect on. It's you. You know who's leaving X? 80% of their market valuation. Why should any other business ever emulate those results?

He's lying. To a reactionary or regressive, X is their safe space. What he means by "lack of diversity of thought" is that the BlueSky community heavily pushes back against bigotry. He's basically saying "Nazis tried to take over BlueSky and couldn't so they went back to X". It's damning.

Imagine how much our politicians would be crying over the tea that Boston protestors dumped into the harbor. I hate to admit it but both our parties are equally committed to status quo power structures. We never would have become an independent country under these treasonous monarch worshippers.
