The grocery shop I just did usually cost between $60-$80. Today, it cost me $130. I bought nothing outrageous. I shopped at the most inexpensive grocery store in our area. But yeah, that decaying heap of slop we call a president is really helping prices.

I think many people, especially people in power, forget you are one second away from being disabled. You are one second away from being unhoused. This is how fast your life can change entirely and in some cases permanently.
Being shitty about/to unhoused people is such a hardline dealbreaker. It means you’re nakedly motivated by your disgust for a group of people in your community and not at all curious about the material conditions that got them there.

Today Blossom is 13. We're in bonus rounds now and we're going to enjoy every second. She is still bright eyed, happy and as loving as she has ever been. She sleeps more and doesn't jump as much but those are her only real outward signs of aging. She is the best girl and bestest of friends.
Coupled with children processing things differently. The results of that day will unfold for years to come and not just for the physically injured. It’s heartbreaking how badly we’ve failed these kids and so many others
I got incredibly angry at the news last night calling the survivors “resilient” for gathering with their classmates. Fuck that reporting. I’m not doubting the strength of these children but call it what it is: traumatized children seeking comfort and threads of now shattered normalcy.
