This is a great thread and reflects some of my own experience teaching games to folk, like my parents, who have more trad games as their background. I have also found they can tolerate some complexity if the theme of the game intrigues and draws them in

As a heads up to designers, there is a new VTT, Fabled, that reached out to me about putting stuff on their site. They use AI to generate images for things in their store, homebrew images, etc. Avoid them, block them.

Yeah I feel mine is too dense as well but trying to stick to the book's advice as much as possible for review purposes. I am contemplating a smaller grid for my one shot with just one myth on it. Try and run it in two hours or so. I have some pre gens made if those would be of use.
