In Germany, electric vehicle charging stations at gas stations is common. Highway locations often have a lot of charger infrastructure connected to the power grid. Residential areas frequently see the upgrade of street-side parking with chargers.

Tried ChatGPT to turn random sketches into realistic images and it works impressively well. Outperformed other models I tested - worth a try.

Today, 70 years ago Albert Einstein passed away. Einstein was a critical mind, a humanitarian, a challenger. In a strange, little-known post-mortem, his brain was illegally removed, sliced into 240 pieces, and stored for decades…in a basement in Kansas. In this video, he explains E=mc² himself. ⚛️

Great one - back in 2001 I recorded this from the movie to put in on my MP3 player (long way before streaming:)

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

Polish PM Donald Tusk, speaking before his flight to London for the European Ukraine summit: “500 million Europeans are asking 300 million Americans to defend them against 140 million Russians. [...] Europe today lacks the belief that we are truly a global force.”

Thank you for that. Good questions. Asked a similar question yesterday, if E.M should endorse the AFD. Answer was a clear "No".

Makes wonder if some EU regulations – like the ones on Privacy – aren't actually pretty sensible.

The challenge lies in maintaining focus in such an environment. Some of the people may be able to do it on their own. Yet as a society we need some very conscious efforts to right the ship, just as we did with physical drugs or gambling.

It's no surprise that institutions, societies, and governments struggle under the strain. Attention has become the most valuable commodities, relentlessly mined by the richest individuals and companies in the world. Reading Clarke's words today shows that we created a world designed to distract us.

Today across all platforms, billions of hours of content are available, an unimaginable scale. This endless stream of distractions pulls at our minds, diminishing our capacity to ponder and wonder.

Even it was written in 1953, when vacuum tubes were standard, transistors were yet to rise, and Earth had no manmade satellite (Sputnik was 1957). Yet the book holds up well. Clarke predicted automation, computers, social mobility, and even the impact of mass media with astonishing foresight.
