I actually think that would make a lot of sense right now SMM2 was somewhat hamstrung because making docked was cumbersome the mouse control would fix that. All they really need to do is add that fix the sharing and basically re-release SMM2 they could even do SMM2 Deluxe and get away with it IMO.

After axis shock and becoming ascended new type created a new universe where he didn't exist to send Lalah to assuming without the conflict between him and Char she would live.
I think this is an indicator that their media strategy is to keep doing smaller things to keep the Switch 2 in the conversation. If they just have a direct with a release slate it gets covered and it over but, release > Splatoon Patch > DK Direct > NSO GC release and keep that rolling.
