Just watched it again and he said he's there to destroy the universe she created so im guessing he tried to remove her at the moment of her death but then she spawned the new timeline

Okay so I am left not knowing who Shuji is supposed to be, and I guess Amuro is the the Gquuuuux, which doesn't make much sense to me. I think my idea was better that it would have been created by an attempt of Amuro and Char to save her after Axis, but I am biased.
