Good morning. Ive been up for a few hours. The documentary channel has been my friend. I spiraled on the sperm one and read a bunch of follow up articles because I needed to know more.
I agree on the shortsightedness, especially when they're having to purchase paid for sperm anyway. Egg donation can be painful! That should be paid if not double, triple a sperm donation. You can tell a woman didnt come up with that compensation system.
Canada passed some act in the early 2000s that said all sperm donation must be altruistic, donors cannot be paid. So a lot of people just dont donate. In the US, ppl are paid. So instead of paying Canadians, they import paid for US Sperm which makes roughly zero circular sense.
