Alas, we have not had any wind. In this instance it is due to drought. The ground is shrinking and the roots have had little to hold on to. Iβve seen 5 downed trees in the last two weeks. Very sad.

Totally agree, Rosa! I think up to this point, it was never conceivable that America would cease being our ally or a NATO ally. How things have changed! In the same way we have allowed the βPeace Dividendβ to eradicate the size of our military thinking we had no major European threats anymore.
Itβs actually quite common. The same with some of our missile systems. Essentially we donβt have the funds to be completely independent of American weapons systems. And when we negotiate the purchase, they tend to have these conditions that make us reliant on them in the longer term.
I agree with what he is trying to do, but the childish approach doesnβt help his more noble cause. We need adult discourse, adults behaving like adults, not someone acting and speaking like a 5 year old.
The problem is, we need the most up to date equipment. The European aircraft options do not do this. Plus we already operate the F35 and our RAF is structured to do so as the next gen airframe. To change fleet would mean changing all of that structure, too.

It is lovely when people understand it. So many - understandably - feel anxious and panicked they think mindfulness is privileged nonsense that doesnβt relate to their situation. Yet, we know it applies to everyone. I came to it (and Buddhism) through my treatment for Complex PTSD. Better than meds!
