I hope the company stays in the area, and I hope they decide to hire more locals to work there, but if we keep bumbling in this way, a lot of other businesses are going to pull out of the US.
The US is burning all of our bridges with other nations and this is yet another foolish stumble that was completely unnecessary.
perhaps the parent company could be persuaded to handle things themselves. There's a lot of other ways this could have gone, which would have made a lot more sense than arresting 475 people in a way that threatened our relationship with South Korea.
South Korea has been a close ally with the US for a very long time. We should have coordinated our actions with them. Perhaps there were some misunderstandings about what paperwork subject matter experts and translators from South Korea needed,
Rather than focusing on "oh weee, we can make the largest raid ever" they should have put some thoughts into how to proceed in a way most beneficial to the area, and the country.
We'll give them a lot of leeway, as I am not in a position to know the finer details. So let's assume these 475 people really were working without proper paperwork, work permits, etc..
Okay so let's talk a moment about the ICE raid on the Hyundai plant, and how it's another example of incompetence at the highest levels. They arrested 475 mostly South Koreans at a site that employed around 1,200 people.

The Trump Administration is trying to take guns away from minority groups in the United States, while at the same time pretending that the Second Amendment exists to prevent them from doing so. This is tyranny, not a Constitutional Republic.

The focus of the entire Bill of Rights was to limit the powers of Congress so that all states would agree to fully adopt the US Constitution. They didn't once talk about preventing all gun regulations.
In the Second Amendment, the phrase "keep and bear arms" is talking about assembling the well-regulated militia at the start of the sentence. The Anti-Federalists thought that A1S8 gave Congress the power to defund the militias if they wanted, rendering them useless on the battlefield.
That's a fallacy, to think that we're going to a conclusion that is completely irrelevant to the actual conversation. I want people to UNDERSTAND the Second Amendment. That's not the same as wanting to take away your guns.

The Court's decision in this case does align with the Second Amendment, but any time the "logic" from Bruen is used it makes the court look childish, and typically makes Clearance Thomas throw a temper tantrum.
The Second Amendment just says the people have a right to a well regulated militia, it doesn't say that the National Guard can't use machine guns unless people outside of the Guard commonly use machine guns.
That absurd premise results in nonsense like "The Government responded that the Second Amendment’s plain text does not cover machineguns because they are not in common use by private citizens."

Yup, it's meant to be read as one coherent sentence about a single topic. Originally it was about two topics, but they removed the bit about not having to serve in the well regulated militia if it's counter to your religion.

It was never meant to be as small or specific as protecting personal gun ownership, even for militia members. During their time a lot of the state militias shared firearms. Not everyone personally owned them.
Specifically they wanted to ensure that States could provide for those militias even if Congress neglected to (which they haven't) and to maintain the state loyalties of those militias.
