Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

I've been reading a lot of books picked at random from the library and it's been extremely enriching! The best surprise so far is The Silence of the Wilting Skin by Tlotlo Tsamaase, which was surrealist fiction at its best and I can't wait to buy

Nothing like needing to do plumbing work at 1:15am. Everything's fine, someone was just sick in the sink and it promptly became a problem that didn't need to be On the brightest of sides, the pipes were installed in a year that didn't start with 19 so I didn't have to fight them too hard.
I made an absolutely STUNNING cornbread and an equally beautiful monkey bread/bubble loaf. The roast would have been great but I was given incorrect instructions so it wound up VERY tough. I also accidentally made caramel but that's besides the point.

Very excited to have put together my very first Lego set the other night (on the same day one of our cats managed to get chunks of a plant he SHOULD NOT have been eating into his wretched mouth) It's making me truly so happy every time I look at it. Lego flowers make a great gift
