Then from bitter experience you are not suited to writing commercial code. If you can't understand your own code from a few weeks ago what hope is there of another programmer maintaining it in six months, a year, a decade? Maintainable code should KISS even at the cost of ultimate efficiency.

Tongue in cheek suggestion for Rachel Reeves... If football clubs are so fucking rich they can lash out a hundred million quid to 'buy' a player, stick tax on the transfer market transactions. Either it would rein in the ludicrous transfer market or it would solve your budget worries.

Houninym (@houninym.bsky.social) reply parent
Plus as you are just burning the hydrogen part you'd burn far more gasoline to get the same energy from the engine... think how much heat 5 lbs of coal would give out and instead you are collecting it. The article is not science, it's journalist fantasy... or big oil garbage.
Houninym (@houninym.bsky.social) reply parent
The maths doesn't add up. Petrol (gasoline) is about 87% carbon and 13% hydrogen. A US gallon of gas weighs about 6lb, so you'd get 5.2 lbs of carbon PER GALLON of carbon. No way can this be removed at service... work out how much carbon you'd have collected by 20k miles. /2
