I hope it was Harris. My comments were directed toward people shitting on Harris. Women in politics are held to a higher standard than men. So I’m glad we agree on that. Be well.

As a strong progressive I will always vote for the most liberal candidate in the primary. And in the general election I will again vote for the candidate with the most liberal credentials who stands a chance at getting elected.

This post was about shitting on Harris as a candidate. Dem governors and all the other issues you mention are irrelevant to Harris v. Trump. We’ll all be long dead before there is a presidential candidate who meets your criteria of worthiness of being bestowed with your vote.

Tell me how trans people are better off under Trump than Harris. I think they are worse off. I care about trans’ rights and all civil rights. Many issues were on the ballot any anyone who didn’t support Harris threw us all under the bus.

The US electorate is not as progressive as I wish it was. But if we can’t unite behind the first black/asian woman who has a good moderate record, we will continue to loose rights as Republicans take them away.

I fully support trans’ rights. And the only party that has ever secured any civil rights for anyone is the Dem party. They are far from perfect. But it achieves nothing to continue to dump on the 1st black/asian woman who nearly became president. Harris would have moved LGBTQ+ rights forward.

Trans’ rights weren’t the only issue the ballot. Trans people are losing many, many more rights because of Trump’s election. A whole generation of rights have been lost as a result of Harris’ loss. Harris would have been a good president, not perfect, but good in comparison to all the others.

You are feeding the stereotype that Democrats are responsible for everything that goes wrong in this country, when it’s actually Republicans who do the damage to benefit the rich.

The “deal” that Brown made with the Trump admin is much more extreme than is being reported. It includes government oversight of course evaluations and no barrier to government interference in faculty hiring. Read it for yourself here: www.brown.edu/sites/defaul...

Brown's faculty senate should consider abolishing course evals, if they're just going to be used as fodder for witch hunts against vulnerable faculty.

"He can either give us a license... or we’ll smash the fucking window out and drag him out.” That's not just any ICE officer saying that. His name is Matthew Elliston and he now oversees ICE field operations on the East Coast.

It’s like the conservatives who move from NYC to Florida. They come to discover FL sucks, is too hot, high property taxes, terrible traffic and they are loathed as carpet baggers.

For some reason conservatives mostly move to Austin, where many of the liberals live. Conservatives secretly lust for liberals.

Everyone who didn’t vote for Harris is responsible for Trump and his all his atrocities to come. I accept responsibility for the negative aspects of Biden, Obama and Clinton. But they were night and day better than the suffering even more people suffer under every Republican.

All the conservatives who move to Texas, choose Austin, the most liberal city in the the state, which provides the metropolitan conveniences associated with the left and big government.
