For decades, Republicans in Washington have told us that tax cuts would trickle down to workers. Instead, wealth and power have accumulated in the hands of the richest 1% at the expense of the rest of us. Trickle-down economics was never supposed to work. It was a hoax.
We want to apologize if it feels like we’ve been venting a lot lately. It’s just hard to ignore that nearly every move from this administration seems to be illegal, unlawful, or outright unconstitutional and yet nothing happens.
There’s a reason Dr. King's historic 1963 rally was called “The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.” As he warned the nation, "We all too often have socialism for the rich and rugged free market capitalism for the poor." Real freedom requires economic freedom for all.
