Since then, I've been dealing with so much loss and grief. Trombone Champ remains a success for us but it's been otherwise surrounded with the darkest years of my life. I've aged decades since this interview.

imo the Japanese soundtrack is miles better than the Faulconer overall BUT I grew up with the Faulconer stuff and I'll always defend some of those tracks as being GOATS! I'd even go as far to say Hells Bells is the best track in all of DB (multiple versions of that on my playlist hahaha)
Anyway interesting to read this write up! I'll have to go back and listen to that Launch episode you mentioned (I joined late and have only listened to the more recent episodes!)
Teenage me took up 3 different martial arts because of DBZ and did that until i got a pretty bad injury from jujitsu. When I go for runs I almost always listen to a DB playlist. And a month ago I joined a gym and I don't deny DB was absolutely part of why I did and can't miss going lol
