They definitely make mistakes. Poku, Ousmane Dieng, apparently Dillon Jones, etc. But when you have so many picks, like you said, you can just paper over those mistakes.
OKC is bringing back guys who played 95% of its total minutes and adding a lottery pick from last year ... dear god. (And the 5% gone was probably a lot of gar-bage time minutes anyway.)

I honestly think when older people say "10 years ago," they a lot of times just mean the 1990s because everything since 2000 seems more like the same time period.
Saying this specifically about Steph and 10 years ago is odd considering the frenzy around him during the 2015-16 season, but this stuff had also already been going on for a while by then. (It was definitely a big thing with Kobe fans and IMO it goes all the way back to at least MJ.)
10 years ago was arguably the height of Stephmania coming off the title and playing the 2015-16 season. People would pack the stands early to watch his warmups. The idea that this wasn't happening then is... odd.

I would say I can't believe they're playing for a long field goal from a questionable kicker but it is unfortunately the most believable thing about having Mario Cristobal as your coach.
Just please spread them out a little to do it instead of telegraphing it with Toney off the field for at least the third time on third-and-2.

Based on the way Orlovsky is talking you'd think Beck has been putting the ball in danger all game and I just have not seen that at all? The throw on the Daniels TD was awful and could/should've been pick-sixed and he just got bailed out, but he's been good otherwise.
I kinda like Marcus Freeman. Dude gives real football answers to these questions. Strong contrast to what most coaches do with the sideline interviews.

The idea of paying Bland early is pretty good. Giving him Pat Surtain’s contract ($1M/year less, 6th-highest paid CB in the NFL) is not. I don’t like vocally criticizing the Cowboys all the damn time. I would love it if they exclusively did smart stuff. That’d be so fun. The problem is they don’t.
The Cowboys are almost beyond parody. I’m sorry but this is classic “Look over here! We DO pay our guys!” And they already did it with Ferguson during the Parsons contract stalemate. (And they probably overpaid for both guys, which they somehow always do on the guys they actually get done early.)

I absolutely adored watching John Wall at his best. Obviously breathtaking in the open court but also one of the smartest passers and best corner-three generators in recent years. The man just knew how to manipulate a defense. It's a shame everything got cut short the way it did.

I lost a whole bunch of subscribers when switching to Ghost for this reason. You basically just have to email them and tell them their subscription won't transfer over and ask them to re-subscribe on the new platform. Kinda sucks!
