It's also just strange, on a political level? On the whole it's now abundantly clear that Arab-Americans, Southeast Asian Americans, and Muslim Americans more broadly are becoming more organized and more cohered as blocs with interests and the response can't really be "fuck you" if you want votes.
So you end up getting a lot of 'you people' hurled at you when you talk to these types of posters. Do they think I'm stupid? I know what that means.
There is a weird genre of person on both Twitter and here who is 1) progressive, 2) white, and 3) wildly racist towards Arabs but for whatever reason isn't comfortable with being outwardly belligerent when talking to an Arab.
