They all know in their hearts that they are on the losing side, but the desperate will try to cling to their power for as long as possible.
Maybe I’m not the only one to notice how easily he got away, on foot, and now can’t be found?

Always sobering to see childhood trauma acted out in ways that hurt others, like when a man picked on and bullied by his father goes on to believe that strength can only be expressed through cruelty, compromise is weakness, submission to him can substitute for love. Just thinking about that.
