Agreed on starting Beto today. Think Moyes will still start Beto in tough away matches for the first half of the season until Barry gets more used to PL physicality. I expect to see Barry starting more often though and anticipate Barry will be the starter after the halfway point of the season. UTT!

Everton will take the point but can’t help feel they squandered the better chances. Ndiaye was good early but needed to be replaced later. Keane put in a solid defensive shift and had some of the best chances. In prior years, Everton lose that match, esp. with the ref’s calls. UTT!

Excited to see Merlin Rohl in for Tim I. UTT!

Everton better in the first half but didn’t take their chances. Villa lively in the last 10 minutes. Simon Hooper is a dreadful ref. Never should’ve stopped play after Tarky’s good challenge, which he was going to let go. Need an early goal in the second half. UTT!!!

Agree he’s done fairly well playing out of position. I do think his average play will be higher than that. If he can continue to play as a 6, we can hopefully get the best out of him.
Jason T (@jasont2112.bsky.social) reply parent
For me, Garner’s issue has been consistency. Some games he does well and others he disappears. We’ll see if he can maintain this run of form. I hope he does because you can see there’s talent there.

Really impressed with Everton’s transfers this summer. Didn’t get everything done but checked a lot of boxes. Added quality and potential at reasonable prices. Mostly younger profile with resale value. Stronger squad. Everton paid less in initial fees for 9 players than LFC did for Isak. UTT!!!

They’re going to call that handball every time. What they didn’t look at was the foul(s) by Chelsea in the buildup to it, which should have nullified the handball. As usual, VAR only focuses on what they want to.

Everton-Bournemouth second half. 3 mistakes = 3 goals. O’Brien and Myko don’t step out on Billing; great shot by him. Patterson tries to dribble out of Outara attack instead of clearing and ridiculous finish top corner. O’Brien terrible back pass to Pickford. Learn and grow. Onwards. UTT!
