That's the core question. It would make some level of sense if it was a factory that employed hundreds/thousands. But most Data Centers have like 20 employees, half of them maintenance/cleaning crews with modest at best wages. There's little to no short term tax incentive.

Yeah it's not surprising that there's fish in the water, but I'm concerned that the league is going to partner themselves into situations they can't get out of. It's so much easier to negotiate your worth between 1 other party and not 40/50/whatever it ends up being.
I actually think all the private investment is bad for the players. The NBA is owned in whole by 30 owners(hip groups). The WNBA is 42% owners, 42% NBA, 16 private equity. Remove the external groups as soon as possible and give the team owners full stake. It'll result in higher player pay.
The new CBA and media deal will result in huge increases for players. And once owners are able to pull back 40% of league ownership from the NBA, the players will have more leverage. At current, there's 3 interested parties, with one propping up the league.

You also have stuff like risk management - when to be aggressive or controlling (there's actually a pretty famous article based on this specific notion from 26 (good lord) years ago.
Based on generally accepted "best versions" of best decks in any given format. So there's tons of variables and deduction, altering play based on opponent or opponent deck etc.
