More likely an OTF font on the original document, which includes ligatures like the ff in question, while the printer was probably using the TTF version, which doesn't include ligatures.
And this is why you embed your fonts in your PDF files before they go to the printer. And also why you check everything on your proofs with a fine-toothed comb and an electron microscope.
Also, AI was put in a sandbox and fed made up data to mirror a corporate environment. When emails started coming in about turning the AI off or switching to a different one, it started sending blackmail emails.
