Possibly not, the people in the encampments should be involved. Those who work with the campers could be helpful.Sanitation, running water. are issues. Proper camping areas could be considered. Nobody should be homeless.
Citizens cry out for something to be done. Clearing the encampments must always be accompanied by supports to house the campers.

Think of the protests of women in the 20th C: entrance to higher education, opportunities for professional employment, the vote, personal bank accounts, equal pay. We, in the same way as the Civil Rights movement, have had a long struggle towards justice for all.
Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we could all look at our histories( including current civics) with a critical observation? We would be more prepared for the future. Your viewing slavery, the trials of our indigenous people ,and the holocaust shows America is not alone in sins of the past.
Most Germans recognize the evil. They are teaching what happened to their Jewish and resistor citizens during WWII in their schools, they are proud to show their hearts in this regard.

What the world could have had. I watched Independence Day in Ukraine as they hosted PM Carney from Canada. The setting was powerful, tasteful and artistic. The pageantry was similar to American state visits until…. and then I saw the Korean Pres in the awful, tacky Oval Office. Oh America🥲

I saw this Bourdain segment. It was lovely. I believe it was aired on CNN. Pres. Obama has such a man of the world demeanour and Bourdain was a similar character in the experience. Shame on anyone who distorts truth in this way.

Good advice. Our High School English classes taught us to cite sources, particularly primary sources. History teachers were also vigilant in marking our papers to ensure we referenced our sources9. We should remember this training.
Mercy and compassion was modelled to the world. The media looked for salacious news to sell and they uncovered a deep strength with decency, compassion and love. In truth, they sold that image, despite their goals.
