45 years ago today Terry Fox was forced to call off the Marathon of Hope at Thunder Bay. He showed a nation what determination and leadership meant. Terry has stayed in our hearts ever since. We carry his spirit in these troubled times.

A few of the books I bought were written by current or former teachers - including Mr. Wolf - and you can tell. The dialogue and situations are so relatable.
The world continues to be terrible. BUT! Today I bought seven new books for my Grade 2/3 class and read three of them when I got home from the overcrowded mall and they’re wonderful and funny and charming and I’m excited to share them with my students on Tuesday.
I’m so sorry to hear that. These two women were quite annoyed and unclear about where to go. Trying to cross criss-crossing streetcar tracks with their walkers before the walk timer ran out was a whole other stressor.
Helping two older women using walkers try to transfer from the 509 streetcar to the 510 Spadina heading north made me realize - once again - that Toronto does a pretty terrible job making transit accessible and easy to navigate for citizens and visitors alike. P.S. Bring back the Yayoi Kusama wrap!

My favourite part of Top Chef S22 (other than my pickle validation) is that it's called Destination Canada but 10 of the 14 episodes are filmed in Toronto and none of the driving scenes involve any of the chefs ever getting stuck in traffic.
A colleague mentioned it to me midsummer but hearing half the daycare kids singing it today while I was setting up my classroom reminded me that I had to watch it.

The good news is the daycare team didn’t move any furniture. The bad news is they let their kids use my stuff yesterday so now I’m doing a scavenger hunt for my supplies and making a list of things that got broken (in one day!) so they can replace them.
Last week I set up my classroom the way I want it for the new school year and heard that the daycare team may have come in and moved it to the way they want it so I’m starting Tuesday in fight mode which is not a great way to start a Tuesday! Here are some beautiful pastels to help me calm down.
