You would not believe the joy in this household when we found out The Keg took its Billy Miner Pie, smushed it all up, stuck it in an ice cream tub and put it in grocery store freezers. I buy two at a time.

Where have you found this? Sounds delightful!
I’ve found it at Loblaws. You have to look closely because there usually isn’t that many in there. It’s in the section with the smaller sized gourmet products like Ben & Jerry’s and Haagen Dasz. And it is really yummy.
Thanks!
Currants, yes. Pecans, yes. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to raisins.
We need a raison-free version!
Why would they ruin it with raisins???????
We tried it this week and we were surprised by the raisins. It was great ice cream and I would definitely buy it again but would like a "no raisin" option as well.
My husband has a raisin thing too but he can eat craisins, dates and other raisin-like dried fruits. 🙄
Was he traumatized by getting raisins in his Halloween treats as a child?
Hahaha. Don't think so. He's Bajan & they don't do Halloween like we do.
Oh no, not raisins...
Butter tarts without raisins are heresy.
Butter tart heretics unite!
My favourite ice cream, a similar flavour - Maple Crème Brûlée! Check out shop.fourall.ca
Oh no! It should be pecans!
It should be so many things.
And avoid those customers with nut allergies?
I feel your pain, friend
Not sure about butter tart ice cream, he best butter tarts contain raisins
Yes, otherwise they are chess pies.
I swear I am the only person who loves raisins.
I do
Agreed. My family likes raisins so I accept that with the ice cream, like with the tarts, I will endure them. Smart of Chapman's as I am out numbered on this.
Outnumbered in your family? Or outnumbered in your country?
I only speak of my family as I have not had time to canvas the whole country. I like to think the raisin lovers in my family are the anomaly.
You’ve not had time to canvas the whole country YET.
😬
I feel your pain. If I finally managed to find this delight the raisins would be a huge disappointment. Yuck. How is it, otherwise?
Tasty.
Glad to hear. I’m a huge Chapmans stan! 🇨🇦, genuinely decent company, and absolutely delicious!
I can't do raisins, either, especially soggy ones in ice cream. Ewwww. I can, if really hungry, get down with trail mix but I cannot do raisins that are soggy. So nasty. Ewww. Why?
Same. In trail mix is about the only way I can tolerate them.
Right? They would definitely make some bucks if they offered without. Maybe worth a second version!
I made a version with smushed up tarts in leftover ice cream (sans raisins) and it was delicious. Hire me, Chapman’s! You can add crusts to your recipe and call it your own!
👏🏻
Theirs doesn’t have crust in it!!??
Not so far!
I assumed it would. Glad I found out before buying any. I would buy your version. :)
I’ll keep working on my recipe.
Looks amazing!
Can’t stand raisins either. Ate too many as a kid. Just feed them to the composting bin. Problem solved!
Q: What’s worse: Raisins that have been replumped or regular raisins? A: Yes.
😂
Oh no! I never imagined that the good people at Chapman's would do such a horrible thing. I was also looking forward to trying it.
Things that should have rasins: 1. Raisin bran -end of list-
Chapmans is usually such a good Canadian company. I am crushed. 🥲
They’re still a good Canadian company. 😊
Hah yeah, I was having fun. Although I won't buy buttertart with raisin. 😁
Omg that looks delicious! I really wish they’d make it raisin free, however.
I prefer my butter tarts with raisins, but strongly suspect that I'd prefer the ice cream version without
I will accept no more than 2 raisins in a butter tart. But will accept none in ice cream.
The only example that comes to mind is rum raisin and I'm unsure whether to blame the raisins or just put it down to being a garbage flavour
Blech! 😖
RIGHT??? 😆 Raisins = 👎
Love raisins 👍
Nope!!! Please refer to the previous 🍦 thread 👇 where I was harrased by raisin lovers...LOL bsky.app/profile/soli...
🤣
😏 it's true... Now let's talk cherries 🍒🍒🍒🍒😎🍒🍒🍒🍒
Shriveled grapes are disgusting and have no place in polite society.
YES!!!!!! 😎 👆
Raisins don’t belong in anything but a box. Point finale. 😂
Mmmmmph nooooo 😖 When bad things happen to good ice cream 😏
lol raisins are so divisive! but the salted caramel is very, very good and close to this flavour
Nothing 'gets better' when you add raisins to it. Nothing. Ever. If something is already good or great, leave it alone. Add anything else to it, maybe. But raisins will immediately sour it and it'll be garbage.
I’m still waiting for Nanaimo square flavour.
Chapman's salted caramel is delicious. Bonus: no raisins.
I wanted some praliney and caramelly and then saw this. I’ll try salted caramel next time.
Kawartha Dairy Pralines and Cream is THE best!
Raisins instead of pecans?
I've started a support group.

I like the raisins in this ice cream. There’s just enough of them. I think they had @brittlestar.com decide how many. @chapmans.ca
As a rule, I try not to argue with @brittlestar.com. But any number other than zero makes me call his raisin quota consulting into question.
Possibility that he gets paid by the raisin.
Well they should have asked me because the correct number is zero
I damned near cried at the store Chapman's gets it right 95%of the time, but For years they made wonderful Candy-Cane ice cream. It had amazing peppermint flavour, but because Peppermint is seasonal 🙄, only at Xmas Then it changed & came back with waxy, tasteless, swirls pretending to be chocolate
Absolutely tragic 🙁
