I don’t have an issue with influencers getting paid. I have an issue with them not being allowed to disclose they’re being paid or having any control over the message. Takes all authenticity out of it. Implementation is poor and will do more harm than good.

That said, Barrasso just wrote a WSJ opinion crying about how much Schumer’s Dems slowed Trump’s nominations so seems Schumer is doing something right (and they should be telling EVERYONE about this).

True but they set direction for the rest of the party. Really what everyone is complaining about is party leadership and all the consultants they’re overly reliant on.

Good idea, bad execution… Broad messaging campaign is good. But influencers are effective when they get to be organic, connect with their audiences and control their message. What Dems are suggesting is paid puppets with zero control of the message or even ability to reveal they’re being paid.

Sorry, meant two branches - White House and Congress. Fixing the third branch should be a part of that plan.
Also coming up with a detailed and public plan for everything they’re going to do if they ever get the three branches of government again to weed out corruption, restore the American dream and fix democracy and institutions.
I think McConnell’s strategy was much more effective than Schumer’s. Also, it’s not a waste of time - trying to do it and failing because of the numbers is how you convince people to give you the majority in the next election so you can actually do things.
