Halloween superstores are everywhere this year. I've seen one constructed out of dust bunnies and shedded cat claws under my bed. I've seen one while crawling through a tunnel that appeared suddenly in the basement. I've even seen one form inside the swirling fractal colors of a kaleidoscope.
I tried punching some floating bricks hoping for some coins but it did not turn out like Mario. Apparently, the bricks were floating due to a quantum anomaly, and now my hand is twisted up like a pretzel and covered with radioactive feathers.

Also, you should know that some libraries will let you sign up even if you don't live in that specific city/town. You might just need to live in the state or general region. So if your local library doesn't support Kanopy, you can check around and see what else is available.

Oh well, an unofficial town sorcerer is sometimes unfairly maligned. At least the ducks like me.
I didn't end up feeding any crows on my crow walk, but I gave a snack to my fine feathered friend the Muscovy. Also, now that I replay the conversation in my head, I feel as if that nice older lady thought I wanted to steal her neighbor's fruit, although I was merely walking on the sidewalk.
Yeah, salt is dangerous for birds.
It should be said that the swan geese, the avian dinosaurs that they are, make lovely dinosaur-like sounds. I haven't yet spotted any red-eared sliders, but they're probably sunbathing somewhere.
Aside from the swan geese, mallards and Muscovy duck, I've also said hello to an egret and a bunch of Canadian geese. A spider of unknown species also jumped on my arm and quickly jumped away again. He didn't seem to enjoy my arm after all.
Now I'm sitting on a metal picnic table amidst a slumbering group of mallards. The Muscovy duck seemed sleepy as hell but he woke up to come say hello. He's a good pal of mine. I gave him a few unsalted, roasted peanuts, which are safe for ducks.
As unofficial town sorcerer, it's extremely important to support small businesses and to embrace local fruits, so I bought a fresh pineapple agua fresca from a stall near the pond. The swan geese and a few mallards have approached me to say hello.
Someone's selling wooden staffs fit for a town sorcerer near the duck pond. I haven't asked yet if the staffs are already imbued with magic or not. It could be that I haven't accomplished enough feats of sorcery yet where I deserve such a staff.
A nice older lady stopped me on the sidewalk and told me all about the fruit trees in her neighbor's yard and in her yard. As town sorcerer, it's important to speak about local fruit trees whenever possible, even if my current mission is to feed crows.
