Trouble is South Yorks is more like Derbyshire, N Yorks is more like Co Durham, NW Yorks is Cumbrian, and SW Yorks is Lancastrian. More than like each other. E Yorks, well they're unique. Yorkshire doesn't feel like one place.

My brothers taught in co-ed upper schools when they were young men. They found teenage girls difficult so they both changed to boys only schools to keep out of trouble. When you see schoolgirls today with their tiny skirts and big eyelashes you can maybe understand why male teachers are rare.
