I got lucky. I moved and my new doctor sorted it out. My previous doctors had either shrugged it off or tried to tell me I was depressed and wrote a prescription for Valium, which wouldn’t have helped at all (I binned the script). My only worry with the indie space is that AI will make it too easy to pump out dross, so the great games that have artistic integrity will be buried so deep we’ll be hard pressed to find them. Time will tell, I suppose.
Oh, there are a lot of great games to play (too many for me to keep up, in fact), but most of them come out of indie studios, these days. Much of the AAA fare is utterly devoid of any creative spark. It’s busy work and gambling dressed up as videogames. Not interested.
