One can only hope that if widespread identity theft results from this, the first identities to be stolen belong to the Supreme Court justices who have visited this upon us. It's not much, but it would be a modicum of Supreme Court justice.

If I were law enforcement in America -- either local police brass or union official -- I'd denounce this heavy handedness daily to preserve respect for & safety of my officers. Only time for me was Golden Rainbow. I remember being underwhelmed by the story and music (although I was a Walter Marks fan for Bajour), but thrilled to see Steve and Eydie who were characteristically charismatic. To this day I'm struck by their ability to hit every note dead center.

Back when the KKK adopted a highway in Missouri, a clever group had that segment officially renamed The Rosa Parks Highway, so that the Klan were suddenly the janitors on the Rosa Parks Highway. Can we please reassemble that group to think up a plan for the Melania Trump Opera House?

On this very point, Howard Fast's "Being Red" is a great read, and in a different time than this would be pretty good source material for a film. It's also proof that although known as a novelist, my friend (like his granddaughter, as is now apparent) was also a damn good memoirist.
