Last years we saw Russia creative in cutting costs, finding new income or keep official inflation lower than expected. A lot of this creativity was for short term nicer numbers but actually undermine budget already 6 months later. No long term scope.

With the burning fuel trains I wonder if there is also a separate ‘unloading’ statistic. I’m also interested if burning refineries will have an impact on oil/fuel by train. Less produced but logistical more refinery to customer not feasible with existing pipelines.

GDP difference is high. The real difference is more complex. Cost of housing, healthcare, insurance, education, groceries… also make part of the more objective comparison. Just the median income and housing cost in the same country differs a lot per region
