Trans rights are not just a queer issue, they're a liberty issue. If we believe in personal liberty and the freedom of self-determination as a nation, then supporting trans folks' right to be themselves is patriotic and in line with the mythic origins of this nation.

Once you're on HRT and lose strength, any "advantage" of your "bigger frame" (which for minors may not even be present) just becomes having a worse power to weight ratio. These are things that trans people, scientists, and sports leagues have dealt with for a good while.
No you shouldn't take it seriously because sports leagues already had ways of regulating trans competition for years before a concerted effort to push people towards transphobic bigotry made you think about us. I'm a trans Californian, and I feel less safe knowing that my state's leader doesn't really respect my personal liberty to make medical decisions for myself. It really hurts to see so few people outside of the trans community argue against that part of his platform right now.

The Pro-Newsom posts have given me, a trans person, panic attacks multiple times this week because *this* is "our" fighter? What liberation do *I* get from Trumpist tyranny if I'm excluded from Democracy after this regime is ousted. My life won't change. I'll still worry about getting my meds.

For what it's worth, my high school D&D Club always checks to make sure they're not misgendering each other's characters. What I mean to say is that I'll see lots of pro-LGBTQ+ church groups in my area, many are full of queer folks who will rock up to pride events even and engage positively, but part of me cannot believe that there are "good ones" no matter what words they use, regardless of denomination
I'm trans, but was raised Catholic, and conflicted about it. Recently, my partner suggested we go to an LGBTQ+ church organization of some sort, and I just broke down crying. Religion, especially Christianity was a huge part of my childhood, and I just feel a visceral, gaping tear thinking about it
