It could be sending more National Guards to other blue cities like Seattle and Chicago or ramping up ICE activities in those coties. They did hint that they would do it “post Labor Day”. It is never good news!

I know a lot of people have low expectations because she won comfortably in 2020. But, this time can be different. So many things have happened the past 5 years, and the next year will be worse. If Democrats have a competent candidate like Graham Platnet, they do have a real chance.

If there is a trade surplus for nations like Japan and South Korean for trade with the U.S., they use that surplus to invest in U.S. treasuries and other things. So, by suppressing trade with tariffs, which are sales taxes for U.S. consumers, they are also suppressing foreign investments.

Didn’t Schumer say if Democrats didn’t agree and the government was shut down, Trump and Musk could just close agencies, fire people, and do whatever they wanted? Nothing changed. So, why would you shut down the government now? Why didn’t Schumer use the government shutdown as leverage last time???

Are we going to see grannies and granpas on the street when a financial crisis hits?

It is incredible how untrustworthy the government has become in a matter of months. Even this number cannot be trusted at face value. They always try to exaggerate numbers like this.

If you resigned as the government due to sexual abuse allegations, why do you think you can run for the mayor seat? Maybe, he just has a fetish for embarrassment.

Does anyone like Andrew Cuomo at this point? Maybe Schumer and Jeffries?

The excuse Schumer gave last time was that Trump could do whatever he wanted (closing agencies and firing government employees) if the government was shut down. What changes this time? Nothing. So, unless he gets immense pressure, I bet Schumer will fold again.

Isn’t it amazing how they can come up with nice excuses for convicted criminals who actually committed crimes and, then, come up with the most ridiculous charges against people and illegally strip away due process from the most vulnerable?

He is definitely panicking and trying to lay ground work to make his base believe this lie.

I feel like it should be a combination of offering legal pathways to citizenship, harsher employer punishments, and expanded worker programs.

I think they are grossly underestimating how unpopular this thing is and will get. It is not just migrants but also just average U.S. citizens who are in the crossfire. Polls are already showing a radical change on immigration in just 6 months.

To be honest, these voter suppression efforts can backfire spectacularly, especially during the midterm. Dems are now high-propensity voters. These efforts disproportionately affect low-propensity voters.
