Let's be honest. They are medical professionals, but it's the vet techs that are the emotional caregivers, grief counselors, and emergency responders. We are the ones dealing with sad or angry clients 24/7. We should be treated and paid better. We are at risk for compassion fatigue and suicide.

Interesting enough, 34 years ago in Oklahoma when I gave birth to my oldest. The hospital gave us a babybox. Formula, bottles, a blanket, hand covers, nail clippers, shampoo, lotion, diaper creme and alot more. It was such a help. Curse those wanting to make motherhood easier!
