Yeah, we live in LA and were thankfully able to rent a gas car for our trip to visit family in the Bay. Theoretically we could have planned around charging but I was absolutely not dealing with that with a toddler.
I like my EV and the 250 mile range is good for the daily commute with me charging once a week, but we rent a car to go on road trips because the charging infrastructure is limited enough that I would have to plan a whole trip around charging (and I'm in California).

Duolingo sucks ass. I used to use it a TON, even paid*, but then they got rid of community notes (which I used extensively for understanding my errors!) and started pushing AI, which was often incorrect. *have to pay because otherwise you get knocked out of lessons for spelling errors
