I had been using a comforter that I used in my original floor bed in 2014-15, but...it's flattened out so much, it is maybe only an inch thick, even doubled up π
my pain levels are at least back to manageable today, even if I am waking with a sore back, it is better by the time I stretch and start moving...gonna try a few ways to keep myself from stomach sleeping, first, and if that doesn't work, get a layer of additional padding for the futon π

I had a bit of an adrenaline rush/crash driving a rental car (and will be driving it for at least a week!) so I think I am gonna try and eat a massive amount of protein to cope
same for artists. no artist is burnt out because their workload would be less with AI or their project managing software could be assisted by AI. weβre burnt out because our work is not respected enough. what we do is seen as disposable and replaceable, rather than valuable.

the only downside - rolling onto my stomach and getting a brief backache - is one that I also get on a regular mattress. The only thing that kept me from doing that was when I slept in an actual bean bag, but their weight/upkeep/high heat insulation was kinda unpleasant in summer.
I am over a week into futon life and tbh, still no major complaints! I am considering a tatami mat but that may be something I have to budget over time.

I did my stretches and yoga for the first time today, in...a long long time, at that! I can feel where some muscles have gotten a bit weaker and which parts of the routine I gotta Get Good at, again, but I have high hopes it will help me out. π€

our apartment is across from a business area that has a gaming-themed cafe/dive bar, along with a Mexican, Korean BBQ, Kabob and Pho deli, and it always smells like there is a nearby meat grilling or something else delicious by the evening... I really hope the pleasantness lasts a long time.

there is a weird liminal emptiness to suddenly not having a full bed, but I feel like it will be nice when I adjust, and my floor is more picked up.
I know this may be short lived but also...what if I really did just need a firmer sleep surface and the new desk set up is even better on my shoulder...what if I get around to drawing like a goblin again...
day 2 of sleeping on the futon and the only ache is from my calves, which feels more like a "moving many loads of home goods into a second story" thing, and not a bed thing. I even rolled onto my side at some point, but no hip/neck/shoulder pain, from it πͺ
