A few weeks ago, I took a punt on an untested Nikon F4 from eBay for ~$40. Could be a gem or a 46oz paper weight. After a cleaning and adding batteries, I fired it up and everything seemed to work. These are shots from my test roll (Fuji Superia 400), and seems we found a gem. #photography #film

Agreed, and it will be incredibly disappointing when they let these people off in service of ‘unity’.

The Bari Weiss era about to begin….
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
No, definitely not a pro photographer, just a hobbiest. I like the Fuji X100 series, having previously owned an X100V, but the pocketability of the Ricoh is why I opted for that camera.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
These were with the Nikon ZF + 24-120mm f4. I’ve pared down my kit a bit, so there is that plus a 40mm f2 I own, and then I have a Ricoh GRIIIx as my every day carry.

Testing close focus on the Z 24-120mm F4. It doesn’t get quite as close as the Z 70-180mm F2.8, but I definitely prefer the contrast and rendering. #photography Nikon ZF + 24-120mm (cropped and lightly edited)

Great conversation. Maybe Madueke doesn't fill me with excitement, though as a sub off the bench, I think he could potentially provide a super-sub role like Trossard, but on the right. Some rest for Saka here and there would be nice as well.

I absolutely agree. This is a perception game for fans, and either Arsenal are bad at playing it or just don’t care to show up. I like the business they’ve done so far, and the nature of firm (concrete?) links that are out there.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
I take your point, but technically Arsenal have done some of the ‘big business’ quicker… Zubimendi. The problem is, big business of that nature takes time, it doesn’t just drop in the lap, and when you spend that time (ala Zubi) it inevitably leaks and blunts the impact.

MattY is just covering his ass. His argument against Dems campaigning against Trump’s immigration enforcement as a political loser from a polling perspective. Then the polls changed. It’s best to consider his motivation, rather than just concede a lift to a new subject as some ‘good point.’

Shorthanded icing is not a thing though. I like the idea of seeing a penalty through, even if it means going over time. The way it is now, the power play team loses so much advantage and momentum when the period ends.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
So, is your proposal here to have a stoppage time after the period should end? Whether that be through a stoppage of play, or to see out a power play? I would almost say you reduce a period to 18 minutes, so that it doesn’t significantly affect time in play.

I don't think they'll quite get there, but some of these margins definitely point to some flipping of seats in their favor.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
Clifford retaining his seat is highly dependent on how big a swing towards the Liberals there is, and if the NDP totally collapses in his riding… I would not be so certain he retains.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
Avoids gerrymandering as an issue as well because number of ridings is based on a formula, and the boundaries are set my an independent commission.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
It makes it so much easier to know where a riding is, and what kind it contains, if you know anything about Canadian geography. Souris—Moose Mountain in Saskatchewan is great (Souris is Mouse in French).

I suspect someone will have to fall on their sword, but nothing will be done to address the actual issue here (Signal use, lack of focus on security, etc.). I would put Waltz as the obvious choice to get shit-canned (technical term).
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
An activist and a reporter are not the same thing, and we shouldn’t confuse the two when one provides some inconvenient truths. The way we lionize and totemize politicians we agree with, ignoring their failings, is a route to disappointment and is what the right has succumbed to with Trump.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
“Collaborate?” He’s a reporter, let’s not assume that because the right has a deference model of reporting vis-a-vis Fox, that that is some model to be mimicked. I don’t think it is problematic to highlight Sanders’ policy positions with regards to immigration (or guns).
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
For what purpose? Perhaps you should explain why who you are matters when formulating a response to a reply?
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have to explain anything to you, and the purpose of his post is abundantly clear. He’s a reporter, he is pointing out a factual statement from Sanders. The fact it doesn’t align with what you want highlighted is irrelevant.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
You skipped the OG Mega Man, right? Because it has aged very very poorly.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
This would be voter preference. I don’t think there is anyone doing significant riding level polling. So yes, you will see Conservatives overperforming in the west, probably underperforming in Quebec. Liberals are traditionally very vote efficient at the riding level.
Ken (@kd-hughes.bsky.social) reply parent
